The Saint Lucia Basketball Federation is elated to present its latest initiative, Swish! A Saint Lucia Basketball Publication.
The sports magazine, a first for the federation, endeavors to sensitize basketball enthusiasts as well as individuals with a keen interest in the sport with news, player and coach interviews and trivia question and answers in the coming publications.
The first roll-out of Swish! proudly features NetBlazers’ very own and female National Basketball player and captain, Mia George on the cover. Mia is the founder of the all-girls basketball club, Net Blazers, who continues to blaze the trail for female basketball players on the island.
The magazine also features a rare one on one interview with Coach Ron DuMurville on the success of his recently concluded camp, a review on the recently completed Athletes Workshop that was facilitated by nine facilitators including Daynia La-Force from the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream. Swish! prominently highlights the accomplishments of our many success stories with full articles on Youth Leader, Pakel Gumbs and John Paul amongst others, making the pages of the first edition of the St. Lucia Basketball publication.
The bi-monthly magazine will be available for digital download on all Saint Lucia Basketball Federation platforms and plans for a hardcopy publication are afoot for the not too distant future.
