Teenager arrested for attempted murder and suicide

On Saturday 1 December 2012, Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations responded to an incident which occurred on the Sky Bridge over the Choc Roundabout.

Reports indicate that 18 year old Elodie Francis of Agard, Morne Du Don was attacked by a 19 year old male assailant, both of whom attend a higher level education institution within the city of Castries. As a result her throat was slashed from ear to ear. That same male individual then slashed his own throat.

Both individuals were transported to Victoria Hospital where they were treated and discharged.

The male individual was consequently arrested for the offences of Attempted Murder upon Elodie Francis and Attempted Suicide.

Charges are expected to be laid against him later at a later date.
