Terrible Tuesday

Tuesday April 15, 2014 was quite eventful in Saint Lucia for all the wrong reasons. First the body of 27-year-old Bradley Nelson was fished out of the water near the Castries waterfront on that day. He was pronounced dead after the body was taken to Victoria Hospital. There are still conflicting reports as to whether Nelson fell into the water or jumped in. The young man who is from Arundell Hill, Castries lived with his mother.
Later that afternoon police discovered the already decomposing body of a male near the Marisule beach. Up to press time the identity of the individual was yet to be confirmed by the police.
The day ended Tuesday with a chopping incident in Ti Rocher in which at least two individuals were seriously wounded. Reports reaching the STAR point to an altercation earlier in the day involving a male service station attendant and a resident of the community. An exchange of words between the resident and a female employee was said to have started the incident. Later that evening, the assailant returned to the service station where the chopping incident involving the male attendant and a relative was said to have occurred.
Police are still investigating all three matters.
