The Royal by Rex Resorts has been awarded the prestigious Certificate of Excellence by the world’s leading hospitality industry website TripAdvisor. The award is given to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Only the top performing 10 percent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.
To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.
“TripAdvisor is delighted to celebrate the success of businesses around the globe, from Sydney to Chicago, Sao Paulo to Rome, which are consistently offering TripAdvisor travelers a great customer experience,” said Alison Copus, vice president of marketing for TripAdvisor. She added: “The Certificate of Excellence award provides top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most, their customers.”
General Manager of The Royal by Rex Resorts Richard Michelin sees the TripAdvisor award as a tribute to the hard work and excellent service of the staff and executive team at The Royal.
He said: “The past six months have been absolutely exciting for us at The Royal. We have completed renovations to 50 of our suites, which are now fitted with 24-inch rain showers, new beds, floors and cupboard designs. All our rooms now have cable TV with up to 80 channels. The pool bar, tent and rondels have also been refurbished. Our new executive chef, Eike Lauffe has introduced new menus to The Chic and L’Epicure. In addition, our warm and friendly staff continue to extend the royal treatment to guests. We are very proud to be in the top performing 10 percent of hospitality businesses worldwide. It’s a testament of the quality of the vacation experience that we offer at The Royal by Rex Resorts.”
