On Saturday 19th March, 2011 about 5:15pm an accident which occurred along the Ti-Colon road, claimed the life of 25-year-old Neil Clarke of La Clery, Castries. The incident involved a motor car, black Nissan Sunny, driven by Elijah Lansiquot of Canaries. The car which was travelling in the direction of Castries ran off the road and plunged into a precipice.
As a result, Neil Clarke, age 25 of La Clery, Castries, who was a passenger on board the vehicle sustained serious head injuries and was taken to the Victoria Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver, Elijah Lansiquot sustained serious head injuries and is admitted at the Victoria Hospital. Jonathan Evelyn of La Clery, Castries was also a passenger on board the vehicle also sustained serious injuries to his abdomen and is presently admitted at the Victoria Hospital.
A search of that vehicle was conducted by police officers, and a 12- gauge shotgun along with four rounds of ammunition was recovered.
