The magazine keeps visitors in touch with St Lucia’s history, culture and people, all while outlining the many popular sights and attractions at no cost to the reader.
While the publication has always been widely available across the island in various hotels, airports, bookshops, cafés, bars and souvenir shops—to name a few places—the App allows for virtual accessibility anywhere! Frequent island visitors looking to stay current in St. Lucia’s top tourist attractions, and even those who’ve never visited the island before, are taking advantage of TT’s digital version. It features a full-colour, high-resolution copy of the publication and is fully equipped with zoom capability and easy-to-use navigational features. Since it’s conception, the App’s been downloaded regularly, growing at an average rate of 15% without advertising efforts.
Those numbers are expected to increase as TT explores online advertising to further expand its App readership, and as the App transitions to a free download this month.
“We’re excited to watch TT grow overseas. It’s great news for our advertisers because it means they’re not only reaching tourists while they’re on-island, but also before they arrive,” said Mae Wayne, Publisher of the Tropical Traveller.
Of those who’ve downloaded the Tropical Traveller App so far, 59% appear to reside in the United States, 16% in the United Kingdom, 13% in Canada and the remaining 12% from other countries globally.
