The weekend started off with Panorama on Friday night which was won by Pantime and later that night, the Wave’s Sexy In Black fete featuring Bunji and Faye Anne and a local cast was the main attraction. On Saturday evening the calypso finals was held at the Beausejour grounds and was won by Walleigh. Sunday evening it was the turn of the Power and Groovy Soca finals. Ezra, a newcomer is the power soca champ while Arthur of Evalucian band won the groovy soca monarch. That same evening a number of bands also held various fetes leading into J’ouvert.
