On Tuesday, December 8, 2015 a post mortem was conducted on the body of 26 year old, Kesam Manalick Anthony of Barre Denis, Castries.
The examination revealed that Anthony died as a result of asphyxia (a condition arising when the body is deprived of oxygen, causing unconsciousness or death) secondary to hanging.
No foul play has been suspected.
This is the sixth registered suicide for the year 2015.
According to police records, the districts where the suicides took place thus far are as follows:
January 2015 – 1 Bouton Soufriere
April 2015 – 2 Morne Serpent Gros-Islet and Labayee Bexon
May 2015- 1 Hill 20 Babooneau
October 2015 – 1 Over the Bridge, Dennery
