Mr Dolor will be responsible for providing vision, leadership, policy direction and implementation, as well as effective administration to the College. To that end, one of Mr. Dolor’s priorities will be connecting and developing relationships with all stakeholders.
“I am proud to have been selected to perform such an important role. During my tenure I will seek to develop, harness and augment the effort and goodwill of colleagues and other parties in the quest to fashion a Community College which consistently meets the needs of its constituents,” Dolor said.
Mr Dolor served the College in various capacities: in 1986 he was appointed as Lecturer at the Division of Teacher Education and Educational Administration; Senior Lecturer from 1996 and Vice Principal from 2005. He has served the education sector for over thirty years.
A son of the soil, Mr Dolor received a Master in Educational Studies from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from the University of the West Indies. He is a successful Mediator for the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, and sits on the Saint Lucia Electoral Commission and on the Board of the Saint Lucia Development Bank.
He has served in various capacities within numerous organizations including: President of the Saint Lucia Teachers’ Union; First Vice President of the Caribbean Union of Teachers; Member of the Commonwealth Association of Science Technology and Mathematics Educators of the Caribbean; Member of the University of the West Indies Alumni Association; Member of Webmasters International and Member of the Saint Lucia Bridge Federation.
Mr Dolor is an avid Bridge player and brings to the position personal attributes of commitment, dedication, competitiveness, as well as skills associated with being a strategist and team player.
