VACANCY NOTICE

SENIOR MANAGER HUMAN RESOURCES

Invest Saint Lucia (ISL) is seeking a Senior Manager, Human Resources to oversee and maintain the operations of the Human Resource department through the implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure the efficient functioning of the agency.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide guidance to senior management on HR matters and contribute to the overall management function of ISL, as a member of the senior management team.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process and lead strategic HR initiatives.
  • Provide advice on high-level HR matters and participate in HR Committee Meetings of the Board of Directors.
  • Lead the union negotiations process and provide guidance on industrial relations issues.
  • Advise on and provide effective oversight of staff disciplinary matters.
  • Manage the administration of the Human Resource Information System.
  • Ensure effective talent management via effective recruitment and onboarding processes, training and skills development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Prepare and implement the annual work programme and budget.
  • Provide guidance on matters relating to employee compensation, manage contracts of employment and staff benefit plans.
  • Develop an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes high performance, continuous improvement, employee retention, and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, relevant legislation, and the collective bargaining agreement.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Graduate degree in Human Resource Management or related area.
  • 10-15 years work experience (at least seven (7) at a senior HR management level).
  • Extensive knowledge of all HR functional areas, applicable employment law, and labour relations.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, relationship building, conflict management, problem solving, counseling, and employee mentoring skills.
  • Strong leadership and management acumen and record.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding, deadline driven environment.

Remuneration

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

  • Invest Saint Lucia (ISL) is seeking a Communications Officer to manage the public relations and communication process ensuring that staff and the general public are kept abreast of key activities within ISL. 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute the public relations and image building functions for the organisation.
  • Create content for various news articles, press releases, website, and other publications.
  • Provide copy-editing services.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Media Relations, Journalism or equivalent qualifications.
  • 5 years related work experience in a similar position.
  • Working knowledge of marketing, public relations, advertising, promotion, communication methods, social media, current events.
  • Proficiency with MS Office-PowerPoint, Excel, Word and graphics programmes.
  • Knowledge of production and technical standards, visual and aural discrimination, copyright, ethics, and moral rights.
  • Strong creativity, communication, public speaking, problem-solving and networking skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
