Victories for VBCC and Canaries

A player with Canaries Moon River looks to make a pass during Thursday’s game against Morne Gladiators.

VBCC Warlords and last year’s finalists Canaries Moon River, emerged victorious Thursday night as play continued in the National Men’s Basketball League.

VBCC Warlords avenged an earlier season loss to Dennery when they easily got past them in a low scoring affair in Dennery 68-41. VBCC took control early when they limited Dennery to a tournament low 15 points (pts) at the half time interval. Although Dennery had a better second half, VBCC stayed aggressive and sealed the win to improve to a 7-3 won loss record.

The Monster Player of the Game was Marcian Calderon with 14 pts and 14 rebounds (rbs) for the Warlords.
