The Msgr. Patrick Anthony Folk Research Centre (FRC) Headquarters at Mount Pleasant was gutted by a huge fire on March 25th, 2018, resulting in the total loss of its 45 years of documented research, publications, artefacts, invaluable paintings, photographs and audio-visual materials. Also destroyed were all its furniture and equipment.
Monday March 25th, 2019 marks one year since the fire. To this end, FRC will be using the occasion to launch its rebuilding fund and reflect on what can be done to avoid such a disaster in the future.
The activity will take the form of a vigil with some reflections by members of the Board and Management of FRC. Some cultural presentations will also be made
The vigil begins at 4:30 pm Monday March 25th near the ruins of the Headquarters of FRC at Mount Pleasant. All members of the FRC, well-wishers, the Media and members of public are invited to attend.
Refreshments well be on sale.
