VSADC and Lancers victorious

Premiere champions VSADC and Lancers FC were the big winners when play resumed in the Castries Super League this week at the Sab Sporting Facility.
VSADC edged out NYAH 3-2 in an exciting contest on Wednesday which showcased the skills of two evenly matched teams in the competition.
NYAH took the lead in the 20th minute through Phillip Ishmael, only to have national striker Cliff Valcin pull one back for VSADC in the 30th minute.
Peter Valcin gave VSADC the lead in the 39th minute and that’s how it remained until the break.
On the resumption of play, NYAH got their equalizer when Ishmael earned his brace in the 66th minute. From then on it appeared both teams were prepared to settle for a draw. However, veteran national players Gilroy “Apar” Mitchell gave VSADC the go-ahead goal in the 86th minute earning his team three points, leaving them on top of the points table.
In a game played earlier in the week in a one sided affair, Lancers FC shutout Fire Service SC 5-0.
The guys wearing baby blue (Lancers FC) made a firm statement that the “King of the Sab” is back following five unanswered goals from Bagio Lewis, Michael Marshall, Kamal Thompson, Valdo President and Lynch Isidore.
Action in the Castries Super League continues this weekend at the Sab Sporting Facility. At 4pm today (Saturday) Police come up against the Orangemen of Valley Soccer Club, then at 2pm on Sunday Agard SC entertain Faux A Chaud.
