There was plenty of room for disagreement, but judging from the score sheets submitted by invited guests at the first ever Wenneker Cocktail Exposure held at Delirius in Rodney Bay, Wenneker Liqueurs beat the competing brand every time, no matter the cocktail concoction!
RJB Hotel Supplies hosted the after work cocktail event on Friday, September 27 and the purpose of the initiative was to provide an opportunity for potential customers to get more familiar with the Wenneker brand.
“We wanted to prove the case that we have a good product in Wenneker,” RJB Beverage and Sales Marketing Manager Gordon Da’breo told the STAR. “A picture tells a thousand words in terms of cocktails, and the whole cocktail demonstration aspect was to raise awareness. In terms of marketing, we’re about a dollar less than the competing brands, and we’ve got great quality. Wenneker is available everywhere and we’re looking forward to the season.”
Cocktails sampled included the Singapore Sling, Cranberry Sparkler, Amaretto Sour and Sour Apple Martini. After cocktail making demonstrations invited guests and Delirius patrons were presented with two cocktails at once, one flavoured with Wenneker and the other with the competing brand. After each pair of cocktails guests filled in a questionnaire, stating which of the two cocktails they preferred, and why. Wenneker won the taste test by popular vote.
