Rick – please keep up the good work. I estimate that only 20% of Lucians can look past their own noses to smell bullshit. So many have been inhaling the noxious fumes for so long that their minds are addled. If it’s not fete, sex, booze or vice they lose interest.

A sad day for an almost 10 million dollar state of the art young facility whose operations and credibility is now publicly exposed. So much time, effort and money was involved in its set up. But it did not have to come to that if the right decisions were being made. Its controlling ministry now has as its legacy it having presided over the lab’s almost total collapse. But that is not the first time. Same forensic service collapse happened in 2004. The Barbados factor brings us right back to square one. That also due to the fact that Barbados is our major forensic competitor in us securing OECS forensic work. So how does that work if we are to grow and expand into the OECS market.

There is so much more that can be said and so much wrong occurring there. The lab only needs an urgent independent investigation into why it was operated in that way. All of the answers are right here staring the authorities in the face if only they would have paid attention and need no one from anywhere to indicate what previous consultants have already indicated. This whole mess is indeed a shame and shows what happens when scientific facilities are run devoid of decision making based along sound scientific ideals

Some more info on this please Rick. Why the audit? Sounds like what has been presented in court is not up to standard, though that would come as no surprise given the earlier article by Dr Fuller.
Those that have suffered at the hands of criminals deserve to have justice supported by professionally produced forensic results. This is essential.
