Woman Dies after being Hit by Truck

Officers attached to the Traffic Department of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 34-year-old Natasha Breen of Plateau, Babonneau quarter of Castries, who died after being hit by a truck, registration number about 8:45pm on Friday the 18th of March, 2011 along the Allan Bousequet Highway.

It was reported that at the aforesaid time, the truck which was being driven by  a man of Boguis, Babonneau, who was travelling in the direction of Balata when it came into contact with Breen who was walking along the pedestrian crossing in the Vicinity of Caribbean Cinemas. She was pronounced dead on the scene by a medical doctor. The driver of the truck is currently in police custody.
