The first Virtual Chat held on March 21st, 2018 centered on Endometriosis. It was a resounding success that fostered much discussion, sharing, learning and even referrals to Saint Lucian Gynecologists who specialize in Endometriosis care, as well as techniques and approaches to managing pain.
The forum can be accessed anonymously and is a judgement-free zone where professional moderators engage participants in conversations shaped around a variety of topics. Sister 2 Sister Safe Space Chats are held every other Wednesday from 7pm- 9pm, via an online platform. Participants so far have expressed an appreciation for the virtual space where they receive psychosocial support and are free to pose liberal questions related to their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Volunteer Ambassador and participant of the Sister to Sister Safe Space Programme Ms. Natalie Scott says, “Young Saint Lucian women face so many challenges which are often ignored because of lack of knowledge, resources, or both. I see this as a great opportunity to help my peers in whatever way I can, and to learn from them as well.”
Topics discussed so far in the S2S Safe Space Chat include: Sexual Assault Awareness, Sex & Mental/Emotional Health, Women’s Pleasure and Sexual Satisfaction, Women’s Sexual Diversity and Safe Sex.
The 10th chat being held today focuses on Vaginal Health, and its importance to holistic wellness. Join the conversation by logging on to www.herstoire.com , where women are promoting the rights and needs of other women!
