Marijuana needs to be decriminalized now, stop spreading misinformation about this heavenly plant. The police system has no choice but to become an abusive institution, there is an almost thug like mode as if to say do as I say or else I could destroy you. You see, over time politicians have given the police more and more power to abuse the society in the interest of their power. Weed is just a hostage in this sad dysfunctional society.

Think about from another angle, when you are made a criminal you lose human rights and freedom, even outside of the jail, it is basically a life sentence of less rights. Today if you try to enter America and you have a record from being caught with a joint even 20 years ago, you will be blocked from entering the US.
