The Cricket Association’s Bank of St Lucia T20 Competition bowled off in exciting fashion over the weekend at three venues, namely Piaye, Beauchamp and the Beausejour Cricket Ground (BCG). Despite the inclement weather 15 of the 18 schedule matches were completed.

On opening day (Saturday) beginning at the BCG, South Castries defeated Gros Islet by 14 runs. South Castries registered 133 for five in 13 overs with Darren Sammy leading the way with 57.

Gros Islet was dismissed for 119 for four with Vidal Cameron and Kurt Edward both getting 33.

Sammy who was the Man of the Match was four for 10 in the bowling department.

In the second match played at the BCG Saturday afternoon, South Castries made light work of Anse La Raye who scored only 73 runs.

Bowling for South Castries Alex Antoine dismissed four for 18.

South Castries erased the deficit quite easily with 74/0 in just four overs. Johnson Charles who was the Player of the Match did the damage for South Castries with 56 not out.

In other games played at the BCG over the weekend, Gros Islet defeated Anse La Raye by 10 wickets. The story here was Vidal Crandon scoring 99 not out for the winning side.

Coming up against Central Castries in another encounter, Gros Islet lost by nine runs. Keddy Lesporis with 47 for Central Castries was the Man of the Match.

Beauchamp Cricket Ground: Mon Repos defeated Dennery by 85 runs. Man of the Match was Mervin Wells who scored 39 for Mon Repos.

Mon Repos was also victorious over Mabouya Valley winning by 102 runs with Man of the Match Craig Emmanuel leading the way with 87.

Choiseul recorded their second victory this time over Soufriere by 25 runs. Jason Simon top scored for Choiseul with 46, however, he was not the Man of the Match. That honour went to Teammate Randy Bologne who had 44 runs.
