Soca Salsa Comes To Town

If there is one thing that Saint Lucians and visitors to the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival crave more than anything else . . . It’s a party! And people should not put away their dancing shoes or party dresses just because it’s Jazz, as the hottest party in Rodney Bay is going to be in full swing come May 5th 2016 – so say Kairi FM organizers of the event ‘Latin Heat meets the Burning Flames’.

The venue will be the Johnson’s Centre which is spacious and perfect for dancing. The music, which will flow from a bombastic sound system, will feature a plethora of Latin tracks with DJ The Salsa Queen playing familiar Latin tracks to get all down on the floor.

Whether you want to hang out, undulate your hips, dance, get down and sweaty to Bachata, Meringue, Cha Cha, Salsa and Salsa-Soca music or get pumped up for the upcoming performance of the Jazz Festival headliner Mark Anthony, visitors and residents alike will enjoy pure fun.

Later in the evening patrons will jam with Saint Lucian action performers Mongster and Ezra de Fun Machine alongside the jam band DYP. Then the main attraction of the night: The Fantastic Four – De Original Burning Flames will deliver their string of infectious hits influenced by Raga, Funk, Reggae Calypso, Zouk and Salsa of the 80s till present day – songs like YahYah, Swing Engine, Mash It Up, Magician, De Wetta De Betta, and the ever popular Workey Workey.

Advance tickets are $50, or you pay more at the door, with a VIP experience at $150.
