Heineken James Bond Movie Premiere

James Bond is back and so was Heineken with another great exclusive premiere of the 24th installment in the Bond saga. On Thursday November 5 Heineken, through its local manufacturers Windward and Leeward Brewery Ltd, treated specially-invited guests to a movie night like no other. Among the invitees were media personnel, WLBL staff, retailers and business associates, winners of various Heineken/Bond promotions and a number of local personalities.

For those who thought that their invitation would just allow them to walk the red carpet at Caribbean Cinemas, enjoy some refreshments (including Heineken) and then take in the movie …uh uh! Heineken twisted things up a bit – in a good way – this time around. After arriving at the cinema, guests were shuttled to a surprise location, Pointe Seraphine, where they were taken on board the ship ‘The Pearl’ for a night of fun, games, drinks and eats. Table top casino games, an auction where guests used their Heineken dollars to purchase items and photos with the film’s star, Daniel Craig, via a special app, were all part of the revelry.

After a two-hour fun-filled evening, guests were then whisked back to the cinema to enjoy the James Bond film ‘Spectre’.

For the movie itself the directors attempted to tie things together, connecting the dots with Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Skyfall, pitting the film’s star up against one of his most classic nemeses: the titular criminal organization Spectre. And instead of working with his now trusted team – M (Ralph Fiennes), Q (Ben Whishaw) and Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) – Bond is busy going rogue once again taking on a darker persona. From beyond the grave, lady M tasks him to uncover a clandestine organization influencing world events from the day James got his 007 license.

But we won’t give too much away, only to say that there are less fancy gadgets, the car is amazing and, of course, Bond continues to be the ladies’ man.

And while the film has received mixed reviews, not so with the Heineken premiere party, which is receiving rave reviews from attendees. -STAR Reporter.
