Accident claims life

A vehicular accident at Denniere Riviere, Dennery has claimed the life of a pedestrian. The accident occurred about 7:15 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014.

Information received indicates that a motor cycle driven by Ian Swanson of Denniere Riviere, Dennery was travelling in an easterly direction along the said road, when the motor cycle collided with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, who was later identified as 80 year old Ambrose Rithal of Denniere Riviere, Dennery was transported to the Richfond Wellness Center where he was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

A post mortem examination is scheduled for a later date. An investigation into the accident continues.
