Royal St. Lucia Police Force – On Monday, October 9, 2023, about 6:50 am, Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department and Marigot Police Station, received and responded to a report of a shooting at Barre St. Joseph, Castries.
Upon reaching the location, the investigators found an unresponsive man lying near the main road with injuries to his torso. The initial investigation revealed that the victim was shot by a lone gunman and a number of spent shells were recovered in close proximity to area where he was found.
Emergency Medical Technicians from the Saint Lucia Fire Service also responded. The technicians provided medical aid and transported the victim to the Owen King European Union [OKEU] Hospital for further medical care. Shortly thereafter, investigators received information that the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
The victim has been identified as twenty-five [25] year-old Dayne Felix alias ‘G6’, proprietor of G6 Productions. He was a resident of Barre St. Joseph, Castries. Further updates will be provided as the investigation unfolds.
