Athlete of the Week – Nina Joseph

Looking back 2015 was not the best of years for the St Lucia National Netball Association but there were some bright spots, most notably the outstanding play of Nina. She was not only the MVP in a tournament held in her community Desruisseaux, but also the MVP in the OECS Under-23 Tournament. In describing the 20 year old at the recent Netball Awards Ceremony, Public Relations Officer Michael “Midget” Pierre said: “She is a quiet and dedicated player, who is committed when it comes to training and competing. She’s coached her club at the community local league in Desruisseaux and also assists with another community team called Green Monsters.” Congratulations Nina for not only being the recipient of this prestigious award, but for being our Athlete of the Week. Good luck in the upcoming National Sports Awards.
