BAY GARDENS RESORTS WINS ‘BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD’ FOR SECOND TIME

Bay Gardens Resorts edged out stiff competition from numerous St. Lucian businesses to capture the coveted ‘Business of the Year’ award, for the second consecutive year.

The prestigious award was presented to the locally-owned hotel group at the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture’s 2015 Sixth Annual St. Lucia Business Awards. It is awarded to the company that has shown an overall stellar performance in the areas covered in their award submissions.

Bay Gardens Resorts also won the award for Marketing Excellence (an award it won back in 2013) for its demonstration of innovative and exemplary marketing strategies that have helped to secure a constant revenue stream for the company. In addition, the company was also nominated for the following awards for 2015:

• Award for Service Excellence ?
• Green Award ?
• Award for Corporate Leadership ?

The company’s Executive Director, Sanovnik Destang, on accepting the awards commended the entire Bay Gardens Resorts team for continued hard work and commitment to excellence through the years. He said that it is mainly through the efforts of the team and guidance of its management and board of directors that the company is able to enjoy continued success. ?

Bay Gardens Resorts was founded by Desmond and Joyce Destang over 20 years ago. Joyce Destang plays an active role as the company’s Managing Director and won the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award at last year’s award ceremony. She said, “It gives me great joy to see that an idea we [Joyce and Desmond Destang] had so many years ago has blossomed into this successful company. The winning ingredient here is a great team, from the top down; they have poured so much of themselves into Bay Gardens Resorts and for that I’m grateful.”

  1. St. Lucia should have taken the initiative and take those measures themselves, why little St. Kitts is leading the way by taking bold steps while our leaders are in la la land…:)
