Bois-Patat man charged for Double Murder

Detectives attached to the Major Crime Unit of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, have preferred two charges of murder against a 24-year-old of Bois-Patat, Castries, in relation to the death of his 17-year-old girlfriend, Chrisel Alisha Fanis of Bois-Patat and her daughter Takisha Fanis, one year and six months old.
The man appeared in court on Monday 19 March 2012, where he was remanded at the Bordelais Correctional Facility until 12 April 2012, when he reappears in court for case management.
Chrisel Fanis and her daughter were both found dead at their Bois-Patat home about 6:00am, on Monday the 12th of March, 2012. A post mortem was later performed on the body of Chrisel Fanis who was four months pregnant and it revealed death by haemorrhagic shock, secondary to multiple
stab wounds. The result of the post mortem performed on her daughter Takisha Fanis, revealed death by brain damage and skull fracture, secondary to blunt trauma.
