With a consistent performance, the Bonne Terre Primary School captured the 10th Annual Cox & Co Primary School Swim Meet on Thursday at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Center.
Accumulating 404 points, Bonne Terre Preparatory edged out Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary with 318.5 points and Montessori Center third with 296.5 points. Bonne Terre had won the title five times in the past six years.
Following are the results in order of finish: Bonne Terre Primary School  404, Dame Perlette Louisy Primary School 318. 50, The Montessori Centre   296. 50, Camille Henry School, 159.50; Tapion Primary School                                 108, Canon Laurie Anglican Primary 29, International School  23, Monchy Primary 21.50, Carmen Renee, five, Gros Islet Primary 3.
This year had over 115 athletes representing 10 schools from the north of the island. There were no schools from the south. The swimmers, school supporters, teachers, parents and organizers all contributed to see the meet to its conclusion and allowed the Primary Schools to have a productive meet. The meet officials were extremely pleased with the schools participation and keen competition.
This event was organized by the St Lucia Amateur Swimming Association with Cox & Company providing full sponsorship for this Championship. Trophies were presented by Tracy Elliott of Cox and Company.
After the first events which were the kick board events, the competitive races progressed in earnest with the swimmers being cheered loudly by the school supporters and teachers. As expected, the national representative swimmers dominated the results. Three national Age group records were set in the Female 9-10 25 back by Katelin Samuel (18.63); Female 9-10 25 fly Katelin Samuel (17.13); Male 9-10 25 free Ethan Dyke-Elliott (16.46).
Following in order of finish re the top three swimmers in the following age groups: Eight and Under Girls: Jenna-lee  Campbell, Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School;  Adriana Gooding, The Montessori Centre; Raven  Steide,The Montessori Centre.
Eight and Under Boys: Ethan Prospere, Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School;
D’Andre Blanchard, Camille Henry School;  Ziv Reynolds, Camille Henry School.
Nine to 10 Girls: Katelin Samuel, Bonne Terre Primary School; Lovelle Mottley,              Monchy Primary; Caitlin Hackshaw, The Montessori Centre.
Nine to 10 Boys:  Ethan Dyke-Elliott, Bonne Terre Primary School; Niall Bergasse,  Tapion Primary School; Jamaar Archibald, Camille Henry School.
Eleven and Over Girls: Mikaela Casimir, Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School;  Eden Crick, Bonne Terre Primary School;  Abie Pultie, Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School.
Eleven and Over Boys: Jonas Landwehr,  Bonne Terre Primary School;  Max Devaux, The Montessori Centre; Nicholas McLennon,  Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School.
