Bank of Saint Lucia and the St Lucia Workers’ Credit Union have joined forces to launch a historic collaboration changing Saint Lucia’s financial landscape with a fresh, new partnership. The two local financial institutions came together to birth the Lucia Workers Credit Union Visa Debit Card.
This new service dubbed “A World of Possibilities in your pocket” is powered by Bank of Saint Lucia and provides Credit Union members with greater flexibility in using a safer, faster, more secure means of conducting payments in person, online, overseas and over the phone.
Members of the St Lucia Workers Credit Union will benefit from extended convenience services including access to all Bank of Saint Lucia ATMs and one million ATMs worldwide, acceptance in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide, and ability to access funds from anywhere VISA is accepted using their St Lucia Workers Credit Union Visa Debit Card powered by BOSL.
This is a proud moment for both institutions as this represents the new frontier in bringing added convenience and security to even more customers and members alike.
Mr. Lyndon Arnold, Deputy Managing Director responsible for Operations at Bank of Saint Lucia shared his thoughts on this historic event: “The collaboration is significant and comes at a time when we need to be creative in providing services to customers in a safe and secure manner amidst all of the protocols adopted as part of our national COVID response. It therefore allows members of the St. Lucia Workers Credit Union the ability to access their funds without having the need to take lengthy cues or to hold on their person more cash than required.”
Peter Lewis, Chairman of the St Lucia Workers’ Credit Union said that “it is a service long desired and called for by the membership and can now see St. Lucia Workers’ Credit Union increase the scope of products and services it offers.”
The official launch of the St Lucia Workers Credit Union Visa Debit Card was held on Wednesday 30th June, 2021. Credit Union members can expect to hear even more about this exciting financial services collaboration in the coming days.
