BREAKING NEWS: Curfew to end later this week

Effective July 10, there will be no curfew in Saint Lucia. Prime Minister Allen Chastanet made the announcement moments ago on the National Television Network, as he updated the nation on the government’s response to the COVID-19 situation.

The prime minister said: “The Cabinet met today, based on a presentation that was made to us by the Central Command group. That’s the unit that has been constantly digesting all the information, looking at what’s taking place on a global basis, looking at the numbers here in Saint Lucia, and making recommendations to Cabinet in terms of our continuing transitioning with COVID.”

He continued: “…Cabinet has made the decision to drop the curfew. So as of July 10, we no longer will have curfew hours in Saint Lucia.”

Until then, the 12:00 am- 5:00 am curfew remains in effect.
