The St. Lucia Calypso Association and the CPMA co-producers of the Calypso Monarch finals Groovy and Power Soca Monarch finals on Tuesday July 22 released the official results of the finals of those events and expressed congratulations to the competitors and the Monarchs. Walleigh is the 2014 Calypso Monarch. He also won the Most Humourous Song – a prize arranged between CRIX agents Lumnat and the St Lucia Calypso Association.

According to the CPMA Chairman Lyndon Arnold; “The date for the payment of the prizes will be subject to the receipt of the Prize Monies from the Ministry of Creative Industries and as such I am not in a position to indicate a date at this point. We have placed in the Calendar of Activities a proposed date and will be working with the Ministry to try and realize the same and will advise accordingly.”
