Decomposing bodies found in Garrand and Monchy

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) is investigating the discovery of two decomposing bodies on September 27. The first body was that of a male which was found at about 6:00 am in a forested area in Garrand. The RSLPF says that the body “was in a advanced state of decomposition, with facial features unrecognizable.” The discovery was made “in an area with suspected marijuana plants and a firearm was recovered in the vicinity of the body.” The death is being investigated as a suspicious death, and a post mortem examination is scheduled for later this week.

The second discovery was made at about 9:00 am in Monchy, after the Gros Islet Police Station received a report of a death. “On arrival they noticed a decomposing body of a male within a residence. The body was examined by a pathologist on the scene. The residence is that of 76-year-old Edgar Delice, who is also believed to be the deceased.” The RSLPF indicated that a post mortem examination is also scheduled for later this week, at which point further details will be provided.
