This year’s St. Lucian representative at the Gay Caribbean USA Pageant will be fling into New York City from the homeland. She was born in the fishing village of Dennery and now resides in the capital of Castries.
Decembre Snowe, the six foot tall beauty who will bear the St. Lucian flag at this year’s pageant is no stranger to the stage. Miss Snowe has participated in Miss Diva World in Trinidad where she won for Best Talent and Interview. In Barbados, she was the 1st Runner Up at the Miss Galaxy World Pageant.
Miss Snowe works as a make-up artist and paralegal. She is proud to say that she has the full support of her family. Her pet peeve is discrimination of any kind. Should she win the coveted crown, she hopes to make use of her platform as an advocate to put an end to discrimination and to educate people on HIV and AIDS.
The St. Lucian ambassador is currently single and is focused on her career. She is looking forward to hosting a St. Lucian based Talk Show in the months ahead. However, as of now, she is heading to NYC to make her homeland proud at the 2012 Gay Caribbean USA Pageant.
The event is scheduled for Saturday 29th, September from 8pm at the Restoration Plaza – 1368 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY. Tickets cost $30 in advance. More details on the pageant can be obtained at www.gaycaribbeanpageant.com.
