The pride and determination exhibited by the staff who boldly piloted this initiative is clearly evident in the successful completion of the first course of our prescribed curriculum. The positive reception of this program has spurred us on to opening up the curriculum to offer more certified courses in other facets of the jewelry industry, mainly, horology- watch making, colored gem stones, metallurgy and goldsmithing repair, Pearls, all of which would culminate in an accredited jewelry professional course for store management.
Diamonds International believes this investment in our staff and the people of St Lucia puts us in a position where we are no longer reliant on expatriated personnel to train our staff, but on using our own experts going forward. Diamonds International and the Diamonds International University plans to
continue to foster investment in St Lucia’s tourism and its people by expanding its physical footprint in the country and enriching staff with superior training and credentials.
