Soufriere police have commenced an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of 52-year-old, Edmund Murray, a Vincentian National who resides at Palmist, Soufriere.
Reports indicate that about 1pm, on Monday 12th September, 2011, at Palmiste, Murray got involved in an altercation with his girlfriend who allegedly stabbed him in the upper part of his body. He was thereafter taken to the Soufriere Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Murray lived with his girlfriend who is currently in police custody in connection with the incident.
