The St Lucia Moto X Club will be staging yet another motocross event on Sunday. The track at Cul-de-Sac has been renovated and upgraded, making it a-bit more technical and challenging for the riders, giving it the ‘wow’ effect for spectators.
Gates are expected to open from 12:30 pm to accommodate the early comers who want to secure their place at the front, in order to get a first hand view of what the St Lucia Moto X Club has in store for the 2013 season.
As with the first race, organizers are hoping for the perfect atmosphere, great weather, bikes, bikers and spectators to turn out in record numbers. The Moto X Club noted the concerns of their many treasured spectators from the first event on February 24 and as a result has put measures in place to address most of their issues.
The Pee-Wee class riders or beginners class will be first off the starting block. The Pee-Wee class though new to the track promise to give it their all, showing off their talents and skills with the hope of having the crowd cheer them on. No doubt about it they aim to please.
Riders to lookout for in the beginners’ class are Tairyk Girard riding bike number 01 and Jah-Mallen Alcindor on bike number 100.
In the Pee-Wee class the competition can best be described as the ‘up-setter’. Between Vagne Lansiquot riding bike number 43, Aidan Desir bike number 007, Darren Auguste bike number 45 and Arden Rosemond bike number 18, anyone of those young champions can be victorious on the day.
The action will continue with the “C” class riders. They too hope to have the crowd on their toes jeering and waving, as they up the excitement with bigger and faster bikes.
The ‘B’ and ‘A’ class will merge adding for more bikes to compete. That’s where Motocross will be at its best. Kevin Elcock bike number 4 and Darren Rosemond bike number 131 in the ‘A’ class and Dexter Cumberbatch Jr bike number 451 and Shaquille Jn Marie bike number 11 in the ‘B’ class, are the ones leading in their respective groups. Easter Sunday at Cul-de-Sac Motocross will be very much alive. All are invited to what is expected to be a power pack event. Check us out on Facebook for the latest news and schedules.
