Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident, which occurred at Hospital Road, Castries.
About 8 pm on Thursday, June 13 officers were apprised of gunshots being fired at Hospital Road. On arrival, they received information that two men had sustained gunshot wounds and had been transported to Victoria Hospital.
Subsequently the officers proceeded to the hospital where they met with 38-year-old Norance Laurent and his 14-year-old son Kyle Laurent both of Hospital Road, Castries. They were being treated for gunshot wounds. Both individuals were admitted and are said to be in stable condition. Three men are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
