Fight night at Vigie Sports Complex

Going on the assumption that everything went on according to plan, the two-day Independence Boxing Tournament dubbed “Hands in Gloves not Guns” got underway at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Complex Friday evening.
Boxers from Dominica, Antigua, St Vincent, Grenada are expected to battle a talent group of St Lucians that include the Youth Boxer of the Year, Lyndell Marcellin; and Senior Boxer of the Year, Dalton “Hurricane” George.
The rest of the St Lucian team consists of Alex Poyotte (featherweight), Kyghan Mortlry (welterweight), Miguel Auguste (middleweight), Arthur Langilier (light heavyweight), Roni Samuel (welterweight). They are coached by Conrad Fredericks and Renaldo Toledo Calvario. The Team is managed by Tennyson Glasgow.
If you missed Friday’s opening night, be sure to catch the action Saturday evening at 8 pm.
