Whether at cricket, carnival or protests we have always been a nation of cardboard placard bearers. Although we suspect by and large this may have dwindled thanks to Facebook and any and everyone these days having a talk show on radio and TV where the placard venting has been replaced by cell phone users. Oh, but the group photographed here would recall the attention they got back in the day for their “wise” scribbled words.
