Flashback

Last week’s Flashback photo centered on a young man dancing away, police baton in hand. Looking on was the policeman whose stick had been temporarily confiscated. We are still trying to ascertain the identity of the police officer but, low and behold, we’ve identified the toddler, who was just three at the time. All grown up now, he was by his own admission thrilled to see himself featured in our column.

Is this policeman the late Allan Forde, the late Allan Didier’s father?

I confess lol its me:) and that’s my sister to my side looking all upset lol … Words can’t explain the feeling when I saw this photo lol … a few weeks ago my mom was recalling this exact “flashback” to me (she told me I took the police officer’s baton and started dancing and posing and a camera caught me and it made an appearance in your print. I was like no way. I didn’t do that at all and here I am with the flashback in my face! lolol … I really appreciate it. The St Lucia STAR, you guys made me feel awesome! And PS: I still have that mentality of feeling mighty and powerful. Thank you thank you, I will save this photo. My mom said it was 1989 at the carnival parade, I had just turned three.

And now for your next memory jogger: A youth and sports administrator and being a good legal eagle was more his thing. A political career? Now that’s a different story. Can you guess the man in this photograph or identify any of the youngsters pictured with him?
