Flow Celebrates ‘Mission Week’ Volunteer Initiative

Flow, Saint Lucia’s leading telecommunications provider, is offering free internet to underprivileged students and donating tablets to students in local schools as part of their annual Liberty Latin America Mission Week 2021 (#LLAMissionWeek2021) volunteer initiative.  Through this companywide initiative, employees will contribute their time, energy, and knowledge to positively impact the communities they serve.

This year’s week of volunteering and community outreach took place from?November 15-19, 2021, with Flow identifying underprivileged students in infant, primary and secondary schools around the island, who will receive free home internet for the duration of the school year.

Through the Cable & Wireless Charitable Foundation (CWCF), a nonprofit organization that serves as C&W Communications’ corporate social responsibility arm, 270 tablets will also be donated to local schools across Saint Lucia for students to access the digital world and further their education. C&W Communications, the operator of the Flow brands in the Caribbean, set up the Foundation to support charitable and community causes in the company’s markets. 

In association with the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), Flow also donated 35 mattresses which will be presented to families still impacted after the passing of Hurricane Elsa earlier this year.

As the leading telecommunications provider, we take our role in the community seriously, particularly in the areas of youth development and disaster relief.”

During last year’s Mission Week, employee volunteering activities took place in 28 countries with over 1,000 employees providing 3,100 volunteer hours across 40 in-person or virtual events.
