After a year of industry accolades, Fond Doux Plantation & Resort is adding one more award, an industry designation, and a Green property recognition to a year that has seen the Sourfriere property recognized for its excellence.
Fond Doux has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor for the fourth consecutive year. This prestigious accolade from one of the world’s largest travel sites places the resort in the top performing 10% of all businesses worldwide on TripAdvisor, and is only given to those who consistently earn high ratings from TripAdvisor travellers.
A delighted Eroline Lamontagne, Executive Director of the award-winning resort, was especially pleased with the TripAdvisor honour. “We thank the staff who have made it possible by their hard work, dedication, loyalty, and sacrifice. We especially thank all of the extended Fond Doux family and friends from around the globe who continue to keep us grounded with transformational advice and feedback.”
Booking.com also granted the resort an award of Excellence for Guest Review Awards 2014. This award was in recognition of dedication and care in meeting and exceeding guests’ expectations, and ability to consistently deliver amazing stays.
Fond Doux also received a 3-star Diamond Rating from AAA. Each year AAA reviews more than 28,000 hotels and just 0.4 per cent make the AAA Five Diamond List.
The resort has also received a Gold Level Status from TripAdvisor GreenLeaders Programme which showcases eco-friendly hotels and B&Bs which are all committed to green practices such as recycling, and sourcing and serving local and organic food.
Fond Doux was built from a deeply rooted passion of its St. Lucian owners, Lyton and Eroline Lamontagne, to transform a 250-year-old working plantation into a property that would not only preserve the integrity of the natural environment, but also make it a vacation destination for those who appreciate the wonders of nature.
