Saint Lucia has a new parliamentary commissioner. Former House Speaker Rose Mary Husbands-Mathurin took the oath of office on Tuesday this week. A former educator, she served as Speaker from 2006-2011 when she was replaced by Mr. Peter Foster QC. Mrs. Husbands-Mathurin is the sister of St Kitts-Nevis-based Justice Lorraine Williams, herself a former local magistrate and attorney general.
