Having won the Caribbean Alliance Gold Cup last year VSADC failed to retain the title, however, it was somewhat of a consolation when they won the Flow Plate Championship in the Veterans in Sports In Football Tournament last Saturday evening at the Phillip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort.
VSADC won the Flow Plate Championship in thrilling fashion over Caricom Masters. The game ended 1-1 after regulation and extra time and was eventually decided on penalty kicks.

VSADC replied with a goal from former national player Sean Kirton in the 32 minute. That would be the only goals scored in the game, as neither team broke the deadlock after extra time.
The outcome was decided by penalty kicks with VSADC goalkeeper Stanley Lesporis and Elbert Fredrick from VSADC making outstanding saves. Lesporis was especially sharp in goal which reflected in him being named Player of the Final.
In the third place playoff for the Flow Plate Championship which preceded the final, newcomers Labowi Connextions showed they belonged with a hard fought victory over Flow Lancers FC. From a score line point of view, the contest was a carbon copy of the final between VSADC and Caricom Masters. It was tied 1-1 after regulation and extra time and penalty kicks decided the outcome.
