Gros Islet Youth Footballers were recently treated to some great entertainment as part of a recent football training session on the Gros Islet Playing Field.
In keeping with the Gros Islet Carnival weekend, organizers of the program came up with the idea to provide the youths with entertainment courtesy of Calypso and Soca acts like 2013 Calypso Monarch Menel, second place Groovy Soca artiste Arthur (Matrix Band) and Louis Dan.
Also attending the session was District Representative for Gros Islet, Emma Hippolyte. She encouraged attendees to continue focusing on the good things in life and commended them on their football skills.
Organizers expressed gratitude to Menel, Arthur and Louis Dan for their support, Du Boulay’s Bottling Company Limited for their contribution, popular Gros Islet MC Caroline for her assistance and Yellow for supplying the music system for the event.
The Gros Islet youths also presented Patrick Michaud with a plaque as a form of appreciation for his contribution of free transportation when traveling to play games.
