The first leg of the 2012 Heineken Green Synergy DJ competition which was scheduled for last Sunday at Pigeon Point was called off due to inclement weather and poor ground conditions at the venue. However organizers WLBL have readjusted the event and are promising a super-weekend of Heineken Green Synergy starting this Friday August 17, 2012.
On Friday August 17, all roads lead to Vieux Fort, where “H”-will mark the spot at the WLBL Car-park for the first leg of the 2012 Heineken Green Synergy DJ competition. The event will kick off from 7 PM.
Then on Sunday August 19, the action continues at Pigeon Island with the second round of competition from 3 PM. From these two rounds, the best DJ’s will be selected to compete in the semi-final scheduled for Sunday August 26, 2012 at the Kaka Bef in Vieux Fort.
So far, more than twenty DJ’s have registered for Heineken Green Synergy 2012. Some of those who will compete this weekend include DJ Quaine, DJ Scratch, DJ Thurum, DJ Terror, DJ C4, DJ Nedely, DJ Run It Red, Master Chin, DJ Ratty, DJ Omega, DJ Stain, DJ Smokey, DJ Nasty, DJ M Style and DJ Rio. The reigning Heineken Green Synergy champion is Selecta Twis who will be defending the title this year.
In addition to the Heineken Green Synergy super-weekend the Heineken H-Marks the spot summer promotion continues at selected venues island-wide. Also, an in-store promotion continues, affording persons purchasing Heineken 6-packs the opportunity to become a Heineken VIP at Green Synergy and other events this summer.
