Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 38 year old, Oswald Downes alias “Shadda” of Pierrot Vieux Fort. On Friday, December 25, 2015 about 5:40 a.m. police received a report of a chopping incident at Belle Vue, Vieux- Fort. According to reports, Downes was allegedly chopped and stabbed multiple times by four (4) known individuals. He was transported to the St Jude Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. There are four (4) individuals in custody assisting with investigations.
This is the twenty-eighth homicide of the year 2015.

That would make it just over 2 murders a month! How is this island advertised as a tropical paridise? I am surprised people get off the cruise ships. A sad state for a beautiful island with so many nice people. This is like the old wild west of the US. Maybe the island needs the Texas Rangers to land and clean this mess up before the island drounds in blood!
