Howard University senior, Stacey Roheman, has been selected as a 2016 Rhodes Scholarship finalist. Roheman, a Legal Communications major from Saint Lucia, is a student-athlete on the University’s tennis team with a 3.9 GPA.
Roheman is a candidate for the Commonwealth Caribbean Rhodes Scholarship. The next step in the selection process is an interview with the Rhodes Selection Committee in Barbados on November 24. Rhodes Scholarship recipients will be announced by the Rhodes Trust in December.
“Ms. Roheman’s achievements are the culmination of a personal commitment to excellence and a selfless resolve to apply her talents to make positive changes to benefit others,” said Dr. Wayne A. I. Frederick, president of Howard University. “The Howard Community applauds her achievements and wishes her well as she continues to develop as a community leader.”
