Every Thursday the IGY Rodney Bay Marina comes alive with the J24 Race! The Marina becomes abuzz with excitement as patrons take a seat waterside to view the excitement in the bay and take in the great ambience and food.
The event started in early June with racing starting at 4.45pm until 6pm. The J/24 is an International One-Design keelboat class and is a one-design class created to fulfill the diverse needs of recreational sailors such as cruising, one design racing, day sailing and handicap racing.

And they’re off!

The event at the IGY Rodney Bay Marina sees several of the boats participating with interests rising every week.
Starfish Deli manager Peter Byrne explains that the event has created a festive and competitive atmosphere in the marina.
“It has been great to see people coming to view the race and stay on at the marina well into the night,” said Bryne.
For their part Starfish Deli has added to the excitement by preparing fun dishes for the event, among them tasty Beer Battered Fish and Chips, wrapped traditionally in newspaper! So when you’re done feel free to read the stories in the newspaper of choice for Starfish—The STAR.
The event hopes to extend until September and all are invited to stop by the Marina during the summer to take in the action from 4pm every Thursday.
Don’t miss it!

Taking in the action.
