Although she considered the idea of Goodwill Ambassadors for Saint Lucia a great idea, celebrity chef Nina Compton today informed the Ministry of Culture that she would not be able to accept its offer to be one of the ambassadors.
Nina Compton is the daughter of the late Sir John, lifetime leader of the United Workers Party, and Lady Janice. In 2014 Nina accepted the accolade of culinary ambassador for Saint Lucia from the then government. Speculation is rife as to whether her latest decision—received three days after the deadline for informing the government of her acceptance—is connected with the present relationship between her sister Jeanine and the Chastanet government.
