Rhythm FM Inc and DBS have partnered with KFC and Digicel for Aqua Mele 2016- two days of fun, sand and water activities for everyone this Easter weekend. The admission-free events take place on Sunday and Monday from 12pm at the Pigeon Island Beach. Aqua Mele will feature many activities and competitions on both days, with over $10,000 in cash and prizes to be won.
Competitions include a beach volleyball competition, a small goals football competition, a non-mariners race (persons compete with ‘home made’ boats), and many more activities. The event is geared towards the entire family with a number of Easter traditions among the scheduled activities including kite-flying exhibition.
Live entertainment will be provided by the Heineken music sound stage with a world of music by the Blazin’ FM DJs and live performances by top local acts. Get up front and centre at the newly added Aqua Rave which is the live entertainment part of the weekend.
Aqua Rave will be held for one night on Easter Sunday, March 27 inside the Pigeon Island Park. Admission is $30 and gates will open from 6pm. This year Aqua Rave will feature Kerwin Du Bois from Trinidad & Tobago alongside top national acts: Sedale, Shemmy J, Nerdy, Ezra, Hollywood HP, Arthur, Evalucian Band and lots more.
Organizers are inviting one and all to the Pigeon Island National Landmark this Sunday March 27 and Monday March 27, for an exciting weekend of Easter fun. Patrons must be 18 and over to consume alcohol at this event.
